It’s all change at the top of the HUCKNALL WINTER DOMINOES LEAGUE, where four teams now share the same number of points.
The previous week’s outright top dogs, Conny, slipped up badly in a shock 4-1 defeat away to bottom-of-the-table Sherwood Ranger. Now they have been overtaken on leg-difference by both Central Club and Shamrock.
Central defeated Station PH 3-2, while Shamrock shaded Empire by the same 3-2 scoreline. The trio are joined in first by George Street, who celebrated two 3-2 home wins inside a week -- against Royal British Legion and Sherwood Ranger.
Two fixtures were also played by Bestwood Village Social Club, who improved their league position in style with 4-1 victories over Bentinck Club and Station PH.
Bestwood now boast the best leg-difference in the ten-team league (for 27, against 18). The next best (for 24, against 21) are boasted by top two Central and Shamrock and seventh-placed Royal British Legion.
Meanwhile Station PH now find themselves rock bottom, even behind Ravenshead’s Ranger, after a terrible run of eight defeats in nine matches.
The season has reached its halfway stage, with nine games to go.
