Liberal close gap on the leaders
Liberal went into a 3-0 lead as Allen Shaw and Richard Deakin won the opening singles legs before teaming up to take the pairs.
Steve Wood and Craig Johnstone reduced the deficit to 3-2 for Legion only for Liberal to secure the win by taking the next two legs,

Hide AdDave Horan and Dillon Robinson won their pairs and Steve Clark his singles. Dave Stacey King won a consolation last leg for Legion.
Third-placed Half Moon kept up their challenge by winning 6-2 at George Street Ladies.
After Lauren Powell put the Ladies 1-0 up, a run of four frames from Moon put them in charge — Richard Smith, Daniel Galloway, Joe Etherington and the pairing of Arthur Galloway and Shane Wood winning.
Andrea Green and Jill Dobb won the pairs to give the ladies hope, but the Moon took the last two legs through Shane Wood and Arthur Galloway.

Hide AdStation B are fifth after being held 4-4 by Chequers. P.J. Singh won the first leg for Station only to see Rob Simpson level for Chequers.
Station took the next three legs through P.J. Singh/George Roy (pairs) and Josh Hibbard and Paddy McShane (singles).
Chequers won the last three legs for a share of the spoils through Ben Hathersmith andChris Readman (pairs) and Michael Longley and Dean Robinson (singles).
The new EPA county pool season saw a bad start for Nottinghamshire A, B and Ladies at Leicestershire.

The new ladies team lost 42-2 with only Sarah Taylor and Alisa Clarke registering wins. Clarke being named player of the match for Notts.
