M Pire jiu jitsu success

Mansfield’s M Pire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu enjoyed great success at this year’s UMA junior open BJJ Championship in Burton-on-Trent, bringing home 27 medals.

Coached by Shane Mills and assistant Simon Crow, they won nine gold medals, 11 silver and seven bronze medals with Jaiden Singh winning five gold medals on his ninth birthday.

The team attend M Pire BJJ on Leeming Street in Mansfield and are aged four years up to adult.

Brazilian jiu jitsu is a martial art where the students develop a deep understanding of human skeletal and muscular systems. They are taught to be able to subdue an attacker without causing him injury.
