Mansfield veterans grind out victory
Mansfield Table Tennis Club came out on top of a long hard-fought encounter with Cheltenham in a Midland League Veterans Division Three clash at the Nags Head at Pleasley.
Mansfield went behind three times before they went 4-3 up, only for Cheltenham to level at 4-4 and Mansfield to the finish up 6-4 winners.
A long four-hour match saw Russ Webster possibly played the best match of his life, winning three. Kalpesh Bhatt won two and Kalpesh and Paul Linfield won the doubles.
