BIRTHDAY boy Ray Pickin was Hucknall Anglers’ top performer at last Sunday’s match at Hacketts Farm, Holme Pierrepont.
Fourteen fished the event with Ray finishing way in front with a weight of 32lb 7oz.
He fished corn and meat all day on waggler and second stayed on feeder and were pegged next to each other.
Tony Beastall finished in second place with a weight of 19-6 with Dennis Hall coming third in 18-7.
The other weights recorded by club members on the day were: Brian Cross 17-7, Arthur Daws 15-6, Russ Tideswell 13-3, Trev Tideswell 11-0, Rob Daws 10-9, Ken Shaw 10-6, Dave Clarke 9-3, Arthur Lovatt 8-0, Ernie Davis 4-15, Derek Brough 2-15 and Tom Bakewell 1-0.
The next scheduled Hucknall Angling Club match is this Sunday (September 9) at Brinsley. Draw 8am on the bank.
COLIN Robinson was Hucknall Town Angling Club’s top performer at the Woodlands Farm Barlborough (Bridge Pool) match last Sunday.
His total weight of 16lb 4oz comfortably beat nearest rival Steve Knighton who finished with 13-10.
In third place was Dave Wright with 12-10, just ahead of Alan Lucas with 12-9.
The other weights recorded were Kev Blewitt 11-4, Barrie Robinson 9-4, Barry Blewitt 6-0, Mick Stanley 4-6 and Derek Alcock 2-0.
The next scheduled Hucknall Town Angling Club match is on Sunday, September 16 at Hooly Farm (Trotters).
