Catherine battles on at Clumber


Catherine Davies from Sutton Harriers competed with 665 other runners, in the Clumber Park 10k Trailblazer.

The race is over random obstacles and undulating trails and runners set off at staggered times.

Despite sore ankles, Catherine completed the race in 46.04mins for 63rd overall and seventh in her age group

Catherine also completed with 27 other members of Sutton Harriers in the third Notts AAA Summer League Race held over five miles at the beautiful setting of Newstead Abbey.

Competing against other running clubs, Sutton’s senior men had two teams of six, finishing with one team in first place and the other in 19th place.

The men also finished in eighth place in the over-40s category.

The ladies’ three teams of three in the seniors finished in second, sixth, and 14th respectively, with the over-35 age category finishing in fifth place.
