THE 100% start to the new season by leaders Station Hotel (Newstead) was brought to an end by a shock defeat.
Station, who only returned to the league this term, had won six on the spin before going down 3-2 away to Ravenshead strugglers Little John.
They stay top but only on the narrowest of leg-differences from Talk Of The Town, who joined them on the same number of points by winning 3-2 away to Crafty Conny.
The pair are then four points clear of the rest of the 12-team table, which is headed by Shamrock, 4-1 winners at home to Bestwood Village Social Club.
Royal British Legion remain rooted to the bottom of the table after a 4-1 reverse at Bentinck Club, which was their sixth loss in seven matches.
But there was some respite for Empire Strikes Back, who collected only their second victory — 4-1 at home to George Street B.
The week’s other fixture resulted in a 4-1 win for defending champions Constitutional Club at Station Hotel (Hucknall) B.
