LEADERS Talk Of The Town have been warned not to count their championship chickens just yet in the HUCKNALL DOMINOES LEAGUE.

For their four-point advantage was whittled down to two by only their fourth defeat of the season — 3-2 at home to third-placed Crafty Conny.

The slip-up enabled Town’s closest rivals, Station Hotel (Newstead), to pounce in a 4-1 victory at home to struggling Little John.

Now both sides have four matches to play to decide who lands the title. Town’s leg-difference is plus-14, while Station’s is plus-18.

Elsewhere in the latest round of matches, bottom team Empire Strikes Back celebrated only their fourth success of the campaign — 3-2 at George Street B.

Similar 3-2 away wins were also recorded by Shamrock (at Bestwood Village Social Club), Station Hotel (Hucknall) B (at Constitutional Club A) and Bentinck Club (at Royal British Legion).
