A small but dynamic squad of Hucknall and Linby Dolphins swimmers put in some impressive performances in the Ripley Rascals Open Meet at Alfreton.
Six medals in six events, and three personal best times, made it an exciting day for the band of boys.
Junior Boys captain, 11-year-old Lynden Johnson led the way with a superb first place in the 200m freestyle, smashing his personal best.
He followed that up with another personal best swim in the 100m butterfly, earning a third place medal.
Ten-year-old Francis Dermody snapped up a silver in the 10-year-old boys 50m backstroke, with a fantastic personal best and also took home a third place in the 50m breaststroke.
Nine-year-old Joseph Lilley continued to impress, powering home in second place in the boys 50m breaststroke.
Lilley also took sixth place in the 50m backstroke.
A club spokesperson said everyone at the Hucknall and Linby Dolphins were delighted with the youngsters’ success.
“They are a talented trio now, becoming confident and assured in these tough open meets.
“They thoroughly deserved their medals.”
