THE OLYMPICS are dominating the airwaves, the TV and the thoughts of every sports fan — and most non-sports fans — at the moment.
So it was with great delight that the players of Notts County Ladies, who are based in Linby, got a taste of the excitement.
For they received a visit from Olympic torchbearer Olivia Foster, of Kimberley.
Olivia took part in the torch relay and ran on the leg that travelled through Kelham in Newark ahead of the games.
She turned up at the Magpies’ training session with the very torch she carried and dressed in her official torchbearer tracksuit.
She kindly went around each of the six Notts County Ladies teams to allow the girls to get up close to the torch.
