BOTTOM-of-the-table Bentinck Club recorded their fifth victory of the season and in doing so, handed a jolt to the title aspirations of second-placed Talk of The Town in the HUCKNALL SUMMER DOMINOES LEAGUE.
The 3-2 success keeps alive Bentinck’s hopes of avoiding the wooden-spoon position.
Remaining at the wrong end of the table, Station Hotel ensured they stayed above Bestwood by securing a 3-2 win at mid-table Shamrock.
Having gone to the top of the table last week, Bestwood Village Social Club went down 3-2 away at Crafty Conny who although now in fourth place, are one of four teams on 18 points at the head of the section with just three games to go.
Station B (Hucknall) are one of the four and currently sit second after a 3-2 home win over Conny A.
In third place are Royal British Legion after a 3-2 success at George St Working Men’s Club B team.
The George side are now sat in mid-table and seemingly out of contention at the top and out of trouble at the bottom.
*The outstanding game between Conny A and Crafty Conny has been deemed void due to the fixture not being fulfilled within the agreed time limit.
A strange outcome really considering the Crafty club could have moved clear at the top of the division with a victory. With three games left, there is all to play for.
