Visitor Dave Bartram upset the applecart when HUCKNALL ANGLERS made hay at the Little John Lakes at Ollerton in the club’s latest Sunday match.
For although all 21 anglers weighed in with good-sized bags from the Friar Tuck lake, it was Bartram who scuppered the club members with a haul of 67lb 7oz.
Best of the members was secretary Ray Pickin, in second place with 55-6, followed by Rob Daws with 54-10. Other weights were:

This Sunday’s match is on the Oak lake at the Beechwood Fishery in Elvaston, Derby. Draw 8 am car park.
A NOTABLE double was achieved by Steve Walters in two matches fished by the Hucknall-based KINGFISHER ANGLING CLUB at Golden Ponds in Risley, Derbyshire.
Walters topped the weights with 27-7 made up of barbel and carp, and followed up seven days later with a matchwinning 28-6.
Other weights in the first match were: John White 14-6, Don Hoy 14-6, John Pettitt 11-5, Ray Tongue 8-12 and Pete Dudley 8-8. Other weights in the second match were: Fred Hickling 24-15, John White 9-5, Pete Dudley 8-1 and John Pettitt 4-0.
A Walters hat-trick was foiled by 4lbs in a further fixture at Brinsley, won by Graham Marshall with 39-4.
