FOUR-year-old Hucknall boy Owen Jowitt had his moment in the spotlight at a prestigious synchronised swimming event.
For Owen made the presentation of a 200 cheque for the E39 children's ward of the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham where he was treated for well over a year for a brain tumour.
His sister, Hannah Jowitt, is a member of Nottingham Green Arrows Synchronised Swimming Club.
The club held their 15th annual grade competition at Sutton Swimming Pool last Sunday.
The Green Arrows had raised the money with a sponsored swim and the cheque was received by senior staff nurse Helen Saxelby.
Other clubs who took part in the grade event were Witney and District, Norwich Synchro, Rugby, Lincoln and Telford.
Two Hucknall members of the Green Arrows, Rebecca Greatorex and Kayleigh Dodd, won the grade two duet, while Nichola Townsend and Olivia Shelton, also of Hucknall, chalked up third place for the Green Arrows in the grade four duet.
Hannah, Kayleigh and Rebecca were in the Green Arrows line-up who came fourth in the grade two team event and the Green Arrows, including Olivia and Nichola, had a walkover in the grade four team event.
