Veteran Johnson leads Harriers home at Wollaton Park

Mansfield Harriers’ Mark Johnson was fastest veteran, covering the 10km course in a time of 35 minutes 31 seconds, as he secured first position for male veteran and the veteran team second place in the final race of the North Midlands League XC at Wollaton Park in Nottingham.

Other veteran performances were Andrew Wilson 35th, Feidlim Fahy 91st, Steve Davies 114th, Jonathan Hardy 139th. That was enough for the team to finish second after the four races.

Senior ladies’ performances were Rebecca Barson in 24th, Kahli Johnson 34th, Hannah Hardy 42nd, Amanda Hardy 46th and Denise Winfield in 106th. Rebecca secured 3rd place in the league in the senior ladies category.

In the U17 men’s category Alex Rieley finished in 6th and Ben Hardy in 13th. Ben finished the league in 4th overall and Ben in 7th and as a U11 team they finished third overall in the league.

In the U11 men’s category Matthew Woodhall finished in 23rd, Sam Marsh 30th and George Cashell in 46th.

In the U17 ladies’ category Alice Vantakesen finished in fifth place.
