WWE NXT was created three years ago as a development organisation to give stars of the future a chance to shine and progress to the main WWE roster.

But since that date NXT has simply not looked back, with their roster of fresh talented athletes, comedy storylines and hard-hitting favourites wowing sold out audiences all over America.

And, with the popularity of NXT amongst the dedicated wrestling faithful soaring, the world leaders in sports entertainment brought their unique brand of wrestling talent to Nottingham as part of a whistlestop tour of England, which ends in London on Wednesday night.

The entertaining show got off to a fast-paced start with the passionate crowd of around 3,000 roaring on the tag-team of Enzo Amore and Big Cas to victory over Murphy and Blake.

Bull ‘Fit’ Dempsey offered a superb change of style in his victory, with his comedy style bringing to mind Santino or even ‘Dude Love’ and leaving the audience in stitches.

WWE NXT offers something for all tastes, with the high-powered match between muscle man Apollo Crews and Samoa Joe showing what the aggresive high impact side of wrestling has to offer.

The appearance of champion Bayley whipped the male audience into high excitement as she defeated former WWE Diva Emma and Nia Jix with her high-flying tag partner Asuka.

But, perhaps the highlight of the night, at least in terms of fans’ interaction was the ovation given to Jason Jordan and Chad Gable.

The crowd, throughout the duo’s defeat to tag champs Dawson and Wilder, relentlessy chanted their names to the tune of 2 Unlimited’s There’s No Limit.

It brought to mind the response seen around the world to Daniel Bryan’s ‘YES’ chant and clearly left Jordan and Gable overwhelmed at their hero worship.

And, while they are clearly not in the bearded goat’s league, the aspiring duo must have a bright future in WWE if they continue to draw in such fans appeal.

The show endted with a super triple threat match with Finn Balor taking on challengers Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn for the NXT title.

It was a great way to end the night with some excellent choreographed routines allowing each competitor to display their power and athleticism.

WWE NXT will no doubt be back in Nottingham next year and, as it continues to grow, there will no doubt be an even bigger crowd packed in to enjoy all that the stars have to offer.
