Moya Brennan, the voice of Clannad, will be making special guest appearances at the Gate to Southwell Folk Festival in June.
Having sold millions of records and won several Grammy awards with her siblings in Clannad during a 40 year career, Moya plays Southwell for the first time with her own band The Jarvis Family on 7th and 8th June, before going on to perform at Glastonbury.
Clannad is known for hits including ‘In A Lifetime’ with Bono, the BAFTA award-winning themes from ‘Harry’s Game’ and ‘Robin of Sherwood’ and ‘I Will Find You’ from The Last Of the Mohicans.
Moya will also collaborate with The Henry Girls.
Over four thousand visitors are expected to attend the award-winning family music festival.
Many of the best artists from the British and International folk, Celtic, roots and gospel music scenes will be appearing at the event between 5th and 8th June, including headline acts such as The Bills and The Soujourners from Canada, England’s Feast of Fiddles and Scottish folk-supergroup The Treacherous Orchestra.
