Choir sings for a good cause

Alfreton Male Voice Choir are to hold a concert entitled Lest We Forget, on Saturday, October 18.

The concert will feature guest artistes Lily Taylor-Ward, a very talented young singer, and the Shirland Brass Band.

This will take place at Alfreton Grange Art College, Grange Street, Alfreton. The start time will be 7.30pm.

All profits from the concert will be donated to The Alfreton Branch of the Royal British Legion.

Both the choir and the Royal British Legion are registered charities.

The theme of the concert is Music and Songs From The First World War: 1914-1918.

Alfreton Male Voice Choir has been in existence for over 100 years and has performed both locally and nationally.

Next year, the choir will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Before then, it is inviting you to Saturday’s concert, which is being held in aid of a good cause.
