Hucknall county councillors have been promised that no more roadworks will now start in the town until the current works on the A611 and Watnall Road have been completed.
Just over £11m will be spent improving Nottingham’s roads and pavements, including in Bulwell.
The Government says it remains committed to the electrification of a rail line connecting Nottingham with London by early 2030 after a council leader said the project was moving at a ‘snail’s pace’.
