Fresh from playing major festivals around the world, Blair will play an intimate and memorable show at St John’s Church Hall on Saturday, November 15, at 7.30pm.

The event is part of the Live and Local programme, which brings high quality live performances at affordable prices to community venues across the Midlands.

Blair scooped the prestigious Horizon Award at the 2013 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. He is a captivating vocalist and guitarist and has emerged as one of the UK’s finest singer-songwriters. His music has a contemporary sound with influences from his musical roots; his father, Ashley Hutchings, was a founder-member of Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span.

Tickets are available from Anderson’s Fine Foods (Long Eaton & Breaston), Jas Heaps (Long Eaton), and from the box office on 0115 972 1549.

Reverend Rachel Hawkins at St John’s said: “We are really excited to be hosting a musician of Blair’s calibre. The great thing about the Live & Local scheme is that it brings top class performers into small, friendly, community settings. Instead of having to go to Nottingham or Derby, you can see Blair perform right here in Long Eaton”.
