Activities for young people include KidsQUAD, which offers creative arts activities for children aged 7-11 and DigisQUAD, which are Digital arts activities for young people aged 12-16.
KidsQUAD Marvellous Machines! is a chance to work with a QUAD artist an animation workshop to create a short animation, inspired by the secret life of computers, robots and machines. KidsQUAD Marvellous Machines! takes place on October 26-27, from 10.30am-12.30pm. The cost is £22 for both sessions.
DigisQUAD: Manga is an opportunity to learn all about Manga with QUAD artist Katy and create your own Manga and Anime styled characters using traditional and digital techniques DigisQUAD: Manga takes place on October 28-30 from 1.30pm until 4pm.
The cost is £45 for all three sessions. KidsQUAD and DigisQUAD places are limited, children can be left unaccompanied during sessions, but any children with additional support needs should come with care support. Please note that both the workshop activities are different to the ones previously advertised.
QUAD will be among the hundreds of organisations nationally who will celebrate the Family Arts Festival with activities for families to do together in October. Taking place over half term, QUAD presents three free activities suitable for families – with children of all ages - to take part in.
The Big Draw (pictured) is the world’s biggest drawing festival. QUAD has joined up with RIBA architects to celebrate the Big Draw and will take over the walls and floors of its participation space to draw the homes of favourite children’s characters. It takes place on Saturday, October 31, drop in from 11am until 4pm.
Pop Up Play is an interactive digital immersive play experience where the participants create the story. Join us for a day of play and exploration - create your own stories or just explore your imagination. Pop Up Play takes place in QUAD on Monday 26th October, drop in from 11am until 3pm
