Magic mixed with gospel at Mansfield

Former Magic Circle Stage Magician of the Year John Archer wowed audiences at Mansfield Civic Centre’s Lindhurst Rooms with an evening of magic and comedy.

As well as performing a number of tricks, John, who is a member of The Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star, entertained the 100-strong crowd with a routine that bridged comedy with his own interpretation of the Gospels.

Organiser Andrew Shewen said: “It was a relaxed evening of entertainment.”

“Everyone had a great time while also hearing a little bit about the Christian faith.”

An Evening with John Archer was part of a packed programme of events taking place at the venue, at Chesterfield Road South, over the coming weeks.
