Scott and Rob in Fringe preview

A pair of Edinburgh Fringe preview comedy double bills can be enjoyed in Belper over the next couple of weeks.

The first takes place at Number 28 on Belper Market Place, on July 2, and starts at 8pm.

Award winning comedian Scott Bennett presents his eagerly awaited debut stand up show. Roy, his father, is the ultimate Yorkshireman. In an hour packed with laugh-out-loud jokes and stories, you’ll learn all about him; from family holidays to the etiquette of an all-you can-eat carvery. It’s a wry and witty look at the relationship between father and son.

Scott is in high demand from many of the big weekend comedy clubs. His engaging stage presence and captivating delivery has been delighting audiences across the country.

Also appearing will be Rob Coleman with his show Ocean Going Idiot. Rob doesn’t know his aft from his ebb tide, but despite two failed attempts has an unquenchable desire to cross the Atlantic in a rowing boat. Join him on a personal, poignant and frankly ill-advised journey, a mostly true story with some jokes.

Admission is £7. Tickets are available via [email protected] or 07804 563371. Details of the second show, at the same venue on July 9, will be in next week’s paper.
