Tideswell Male Voice Choir has secured two support slots on classical singing star Russell Watson’s tour later this year.

The choir will be opening for the acclaimed tenor at Buxton Opera House on March 28 and then in a concert at the Winding Wheel, Chesterfield, on May 15.

Dennis Kay, the choir’s musical director and principal conductor, said: “This is a great privilege and opportunity for the choir, the guys have worked hard over the past months to excel and look forward to proving their calibre as they support Russell Watson on his tour.”

Russell Watson has sold over seven million albums worldwide with nine studio albums. Russell Watson is one of the world’s most prominent tenors and the UK’s best-selling classical artists.

He is still very much the godfather of classical crossover and this tour is a unique opportunity to hear The Voice as he’s never been heard before.

Tickets available from Buxton Opera House and the Winding Wheel.
