Running approximately one minute in length, and including spectacular aerial footage - it was filmed using state-of-the-art drone technology - the film also depicts visitors exploring each of the heritage sites.

A social media campaign will be delivered by Nottingham City Council with support from Experience Nottinghamshire to promote these new films and attract more visitors to Nottingham’s heritage sites.

Councillor Dave Trimble, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture, said: “We are privileged here in Nottingham to have these beautiful Grade One listed historic buildings open for local people and visitors to the area to explore. These films, made possible thanks to funding from the Arts Council, show how magnificent each site is and I’m sure they will help to attract more visitors over the coming months and years.”

Filmmakers Dave Smith and David Stewart said: “We were delighted to be asked to produce these videos. It’s been a pleasure to explore the buildings and grounds and use our creativity to showcase what they have to offer to visitors. We hope that the videos encourage others to discover the sites for themselves.”

The Newstead film joins two other films from the same team which promote Nottingham Castle and Woolaton Hall.

They have been funded by a one-off grant from the Arts Council, England. The films can be viewed on the websites:
