Sylvie said: “Everyone in Hucknall looks forward the festival and so many people get involved.

“It touches all aspects of the community and it is always amazing to see how creative people are and their willingness to get stuck in.”

Janet added: “It’s been a challenge to get hold of some during the pandemic when they’re not meeting regularly, and we didn’t want to make anyone feel obligated, but I think people enjoyed having something do in lockdown.”

"The comments on Facebook and from passers-by show how much a part of the Hucknall calendar it is. Hopefully there will be no big storms this week.”

The wreaths went on display on Saturday, December 5, and will come down on December 19.
