The website says, “Located at the Churchill Northern Studies Centre in Churchill, Manitoba, this live cam is located directly underneath the aurora oval - one of the best places on earth to watch the aurora borealis, the spectacular atmospheric phenomenon better known as the Northern Lights.”

Explore.org also explains that late winter and early spring are the best times to see the aurora.

Live Aurora Network has a livestream set up in Norway, Iceland and Alaska, allowing you to view the lights in all their spectacular glory during the winter months.

The Network was set up by brothers Steven and Tony Collins, who founded the network back in 2018.

There’s no time difference between the UK and Iceland, with Norway being only one hour ahead, which makes it easy to watch the lights at a time that suits you.

You can download the Live Aurora Network app for free and ask to be alerted when one of the cameras picks up the lights, which means you don't have to sit waiting around for them to appear.

Aurora Holidays also has a live stream of the Northern Lights from Utsjoki, which is a small town in Lapland situated near the Norwegian-Finland border.
