“Importantly, it’s also for the men and women who support their empowerment.”
Amy’s motivation to set up the site is because she knows first hand what it’s like to grow up with an absent father.
“We Are Soaring is a 100 per cent positive force and the focus is always on empowerment - never hate or blame,” added Amy who has lived in Chiang May, Thailand, for over two years.

“There’s a definite lack of communication about this, so a lot of fatherless women feel ashamed and silenced.
“We Are Soaring wants to help these women by publishing interviews with people who can share why and how they have chosen empowerment, or why they support the empowerment of fatherless women.”
Future hopes to expand the support offered include physical and online workshops as well as increasing the resources to get people talking about fatherless women.
