Appeal for witnesses after Bulwell smash

Police are appealing for information following a serious collision between two vehicles in the Bulwell area on Friday night, 13th February.

Officers were called just before 11.15pm following the collision between a Vauxhall Corsa and a Rover ‘Streetwise’ hatchback at the junction of Highbury Road and Cantrell Road.

Fire and ambulance crews attended to treat occupants from both vehicles for their injuries, who were all taken to Nottingham’s Queens Medical Centre.

Two men – aged 21 and 33 and both travelling in the Rover – remain in hospital, where they are being treated for serious injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

A 27-year old man travelling in the Vauxhall Corsa has since been released from hospital.

The junction was closed last night while recovery took place. The cordon has since been lifted.

Anyone with information or who may have seen the collision are asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 982 of 13 February 2015.
