Ashfield firefighters free trapped ducklings
Firefighters from Ashfield came to the rescue of some feathered friends yesterday.
The crews were called upon to rescue five ducklings which had got stuck in a drain.
Crews were called to the incident, which was behind the Toby Carvery on the A38, Sutton in Ashfield, just before 5.30pm. The ducklings were rescued from the drain by 5.50pm and released by the crew.
And their efforts have been praised on Twitter with Sherry saying “surely this deserves an award. #Cutest rescue ever.”
