Atmospheric Interiors choose Portland College’s £2m sports academy campaign as charity of the year

Mansfield-based business Atmospheric Interiors have boosted Portland College’s fundraising appeal for a new Inclusive Sports Academy by adopting them as their Charity of the Year.

The company will be assisting the college with their fundraising activities by getting involved in a number of challenges and events throughout the next 12 months, together with promoting Portland’s fundraising appeal to their customers and suppliers.

Alison and Phil Constantine, who own the Oxford Street business, said, “We have adopted Portland College as our charity of the year as we felt that we wanted to give something back to an organisation which does great work in the local community.

“This is the first time we have taken on a charity, and we will be working closely with the fundraising team at the College to come up with great ideas of how to raise money for this worthwhile cause.”

Tracey Horton, dundraising executive at the College, said: “All at Portland College are very grateful to Phil and Alison at Atmospheric Interiors for choosing us as their Charity of the Year.

“We will be supporting their fundraising endeavours and all monies raised will be used to benefit the lives of disabled people.”

The top quality academy would focus on wheelchair rugby, boccia, football, badminton and wheelchair basketball with individuals encouraged to access these sports for recreation and fitness, together with training to compete at all levels of sport.
