Conditional discharge for cable theft

Ricky Lee Thornley (21) of Clumber Drive admitted stealing the cabling from Weston Power on February 2nd, when he appeared before Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 29th.

Prosecutors told the court that Thornley had been working on a company site and had been discovered with 18 metres of cabling, which had been chopped into lengths, and was worth a total of £216.

Thornley was given a conditional discharge, as the offence was committed prior to him being given a suspended prison term for a separate incident in April. His co-accused, Dale Anthony Rose (37) of Pavilion Gardens, Mansfield, denies the charge.
