DON'T LEAVE YOURPARISH CHURCHIN THE COLD

HUCKNALL Parish Church has embarked on a programme of fundraising events for an urgently-needed new heating system.

In a statement, churchwardens Brian Hinsley and Keith Towers say: “After many years of the system limping along, the end of the road has arrived and 60,000 is needed for a replacement.

“We need to begin installing a new system in September. If not, we are afraid the church will be very cold in the coming winter.

“So much so that we will have to vacate the church for a different venue or restrict our activities to the bare minimum. We shall publish a list of events shortly.

“If you would like to donate towards the fund, the reception of the John Godber Community Centre in Ogle Street would be pleased to accept your contribution, large or small.

“We ask that you remember it is YOUR parish church.”
