Drunk man assaults cop
A drunken man assaulted a police officer during a rumpus in Bulwell, Nottingham Magistrates’ Court heard.
Duncan Edward Kirkbride (46), of Sketchley Court, Snape Wood, Bulwell, was also found to have cannabis on him.
Kirkbride pleaded guilty to three charges that arose from the incident on Cinderhill Road on Monday 1st September.

Hide AdThe charges were assaulting PC Rasul in the execution of his duty, being drunk and disorderly in a public place and possessing a quantity of cannabis, a class B drug.
Kirkbride was sentenced to a community order and must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work, supervised by the probation service, during the next 12 months. He was also ordered to pay court costs of £40.
