The tour, which will include a mixture of acts performing in woodland locations around the country, will see Guy performing hits from his solo album ‘Courting The Squall’.

Guy has announced that in the ‘special shows’, he will be accompanied by musicians from his album, such as I Am Kloot’s Pete Jobson on guitar, The Whip’s Nathan Sudders on bass and Alex Reeves on drums.

Elbow’s brass section will also complete the live line-up.

This news comes after former Beautiful South stars Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott announced they will also be playing at the event.

Forest Live is an independent programme, which has been running for 15 years, organised by the Forestry Commission to bring forests to new audiences.

Money made from the tickets goes towards protecting, improving and expending England’s forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife.

The Sherwood Pines Forest gig will take place on Friday, June 24.

Guy will also be performing at the gig at Dalby Forest in North Yorkshire on June 24.

The tour will also visit Delamere Forest, Cheshire, Thetford Forest, Suffolk, and Cannock Chase Forest, Staffordshire throughout July.

Tickets go on sale on at 9am on Friday, December 11.
