Five people taken to hospital after M1 crash
Five people were taken to hospital after a car crashed in to the safety barrier of the M1 earlier today (Saturday, July 9).
Fire crews were called to the accident between junctions 27 and 26 of the southbound carriage of the motorway at around 11am.
Two males and one female had to be released by the service and another male and a boy managed to free themselves.
All five people were taken to hospital by ambulance.
