Flower display and mining memorabilia

Mrs Allin, of Warsop, who has a wide experience as a florist, skilfully made up four arrangements, which included roses, carnations, snapdragons and aspidistras.

Her husband, Coun John Allin (Lab), was last year's chairman of Notts County Council.

Also part of a festival exhibition in the church is a display of mining memorabilia, staged by Hucknall man Ian Morrison on behalf of the Nottinghamshire National Union of Mineworkers Ex and Retired Miners' Association.
