Giddy up for Chad fun ‘day at the races’
The fifth annual Chad’s Family Fun Day will include a host of entertainment for youngsters including gladiator duels, laser quest and the chance to meet racecourse mascot Freddie Furlong.

Hide AdAdults, as always, can have a fun flutter and maybe back a winning horse, at the fifth annual event.
There will also be appearances from popular children’s TV characters Mike the Knight and Evie at intervals throughout the day, organisers said.
New for 2014 is the Family Fun Day BBQ Package, which can be purchased for adults and children, including something from the BBQ on the Pagoda Lawn, a drink, and admission and race card for the adults.

Hide AdChildren under the age of 18 accompanied by a paying adult go free and can enjoy a fun-filled day that includes access to a bouncy castle, an inflatable slide, an obstacle course and garden games.
Budding young jockeys can enjoy finding out more about the equine and human stars of the sport, design their own racing silks and take a look at some specialist racing equipment.
They’ll also be able to check out what racehorses eat to keep them in tip-top condition and learn about what happens at the track.

Hide AdTo mark the end of the World Cup, there will also be an appearance from Argentine legend Ossie Ardilies
