Guides looking forward to Mexican adventure
Aimee Hadman (16), who lives on Church Lane, Linby, and Alice Driscoll (17), of Lynstead Drive, Hucknall, applied online to be considered for places at the Girl Guiding organisation's world centre, which is in Cuernavaca.
The two friends earned selection largely because of their commitment to the Guides and their long involvement in the movement.

Hide AdAimee, a former pupil at Hucknall's Holgate Comprehensive School, is now studying at Bilborough College. She is a young leader with the 2nd Hucknall Guides and holds a similar position with the 1st Papplewick and Linby Brownies.
Alice, also a young leader with 2nd Hucknall, has a corresponding role with Hucknall North Rainbows.
During their stay at the world Guide centre, popularly known as 'Our Cabania', Aimee and Alice will be involved in two contrasting projects – one concerning young people and the other with the elderly.
To fulfil their 'Mexican adventure', Aimee and Alice need to raise 1,600 each to pay for the trip.
