Officers investigating a fatal crash at Nuthall last month have issued the picture of the 'key witness'.

The man, seen wearing glasses and a black ‘Everlast’ T-shirt with yellow lettering, was driving an HGV with a white cab and a blue curtain-sided trailer along the A6002 Low Wood Road towards the M1 at around 7.30pm on Friday 17 June.

The HGV was directly behind a Subara Impreza which was involved in a collision with a Peugeot 207 travelling in the opposite direction.

The passenger in the Peugeot 207 died as a result of his injuries. The drivers of the two cars required treatment in hospital.

The HGV was not involved in the collision. However, the driver stopped at the scene to assist but left before the emergency services arrived.

It is believed he will have had a clear view of the collision and will have vital information which can help the investigation.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the crash and are currently on bail pending further enquiries.

The HGV driver is not a suspect in this investigation.

If this is you or someone you know, please telephone Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 862 of 17 June.
