Holgate students in Greek tragedy drama

Holgate Academy Year 12 drama students performed a challenging classical Greek tragedy called “Medea” as part of their end of year assessment.

“They created a unique interpretation, it was stylistically and visually stunning, so confidently and passionately delivered, that it would not have looked out of place in a West End theatre,” said school spokesman Phil Bailey.

“The audience was entranced as the story of love, jealousy, murder and betrayal unfolded and reached its bitter conclusion

“It was an evening of powerful emotions conveyed by a group of dedicated, talented and hard working students.”
