Houses lined up for eyesore ex-Dowty site

The site is the former home of the Dowty mining-equipment company, which closed in the early 1990s.

It is surrounded by overgrown vegetation and has been used for fly-tipping.
Now Tribecka want to revive the 'brownfield' (previously used) land and have submitted a planning application to Ashfield District Council.
The scheme is in its early stages but the design work has been undertaken by award-winning architects ADG.

Hide AdTribecka's chairman, James O'Malley, said: "In a difficult economic climate, we are delighted to announce, once again, that we have stepped forward to seek regeneration of an important site within Hucknall.
"The extraordinary financial market that we face has not stopped us from seeking to fulfil the site's potential, which has, for too long, remained empty and been a magnet for environmental misuse.
"The scheme meets Ashfield Council's design brief and will provide a mixture of affordable housing and new homes for the public.
"We have carried out local consultation and, so far, we have received nothing but encouragement and support."
