Inner wheel gives cheques to charities

At June’s meeting of Hucknall Inner Wheel, president Shirley was pleased to welcome representatives from local charities and also the two teachers who have accompanied the children from Chernobyl on their annual visit to the area. President Shirley’s theme for the year was ‘One World - Many Stories’ and as she handed over the cheques members heard how the money they had helped to raise throughout the year would make a difference.

The charities who will benefit this year are Alzheimer’s Research, Maggies, Framework, Friends of Chernobyl’s Children, Mankind Initiative, Lily’s Immunotherapy for Peanut Allergy, Rolls Royce Frame Football Team, Autism Service Dog, Seymour Road Baptist Church, QMC Outpatients Department, The Holgate Academy, RVS, School in a Bag, NSPCC Child-line Schools Service, The Little Red Wheelchair, Aquabox and Homes for Humanties.
