MANSFIELD: Charity headshave

A Mansfield woman has already raised more than £500 for the Parents’ Association for Seriously Ill Children (PASIC) by pledging to shave her long red hair.

Emma Carroll, who works at West Nottinghamshire College, plans to recruit the help of student hair-stylists to carry out the shave on 18th June.

The 27-year-old had initially planned to raise £500 for the charity, but now hopes to double the amount before the close shave takes place, and her locks will be donated to the Little Princess Trust.

PASIC spokesman Sam Spencer said ‘We’re so grateful to Emma for choosing to support our charity with her headshave.”

Emma is still collecting donations at www.justgiving.com/LongRedHeadShave.
