Massive 1,000ft water slide coming to Notts this summer

The giant flume, which will be heading to Woollaton Park in August, has caused a sensation in other parts of the UK where it has attracted hordes of thrillseekers.

Organisers say: “Slide the City is a family friendly slip-and-slide water party event.

“There will be live music, food, drinks, water, and of course the biggest slip-and-slide that you’ve ever seen.

“Don’t worry, we’ve got it padded. This slide’s got more cushion than your grandpa’s orthopedic shoes.

Inflatable tubes to ride on are provided, or riders can bring their own.

The craze has already taken America by storm, where it is touted as a family day out.
