Newstead employs dog poo fairy

But a poster it has produced as part of an anti-dog fouling campaign shows that there is, Newstead Parish Council was told.

The delightful little creature can be seen flying into the air while lifting a bag. Wording on the poster urges people to ‘love where you live’ and to ‘bag that poo - any rubbish bin will do’.

At a meeting of the parish council, it was agreed to obtain posters for the campaign and display them at strategic places in the village.

Newstead’s worst areas for dog fouling are thought to be Station Road/Station Avenue and around the park.

Editors of newsletters in the village have been asked to include articles on responsible dog ownership.
