Letter: Thoresby jobs are so important

I think it’s a great idea from a reader about using the colliery as a visitors attraction,keeping some jobs for the miners there.

Being an ex miner myself,I would like to see a museum in our area to keep the industry in our minds after all that’s happened over the years in Nottinghamshire.

The show pit in Wakefield, Yorkshire, has attracted quite a few visitors.

It would be a shame for Nottinghamshire not to do the same.

But of course, the most important thing is to create some jobs which is needed after it closes.
