Pensioner to appear at court charged with allegedly stabbing man

A 38-year-old man suffered a single stab wound in Lower Parliament Street in Nottingham city centre at around 4.10pm on Saturday. He remains in a stable condition in hospital. A 24-year-old woman was also kicked during the incident.

Roy Lowe, 72, of Rona Court, Bulwell, was charged yesterday with wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, affray and assault by beating in connection with the incident.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "This is believed to be an isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with it."
