Ashfield District Council has successfully renewed its partnership with Everyone Active and the new contract, which will start on April 1, 2021, will be running for ten years.
The new contract means the council will be making a huge saving of £630,000 per year which will allow them to make vast improvements to the district’s leisure provision over the next few years.

It will also see concessionary rates for priority groups continue and the inclusion of apprenticeships, work placements and volunteering opportunities for Ashfield residents.
The new swimming facility in Hucknall will be welcomed after the decision was made to close of Edgewood Leisure Centre and pool earlier this year.
On top of this, a further £440,000 will be invested to reduce carbon emissions across all of the sites, meaning the centres will be greener and running costs will be lower.
