"The trauma and devastation caused to so many families is heartbreaking, if we can help in any way we will and we know the good people of Hucknall will give those affected all the support that they deserve.”

The first task is to find out what kind of help people need.

As a first step towards this, anyone affected by the flooding is invited to Watnall Road Baptist Church this Saturday, between 10am and 12noon for coffee and cake to talk about how they’ve been affected and what help they need.

A Facebook page to keep people informed and raise funds will be launched in due course.
