Santa visits Hucknall nursing homes

Sleigh-riding Santa Claus brought festive cheer to residents and workers at six Hucknall care homes.

Santa visits care homes around Hucknall.

The special guest, accompanied by his elves, paid socially-distanced visits to Jubilee Court, Annesley Lodge, Beaumont House, Shortwood House, Buddleia House and Hazel Grove.

At each flyby session Santa delivered goodies including biscuits, chocolates and sensory mittens.Residents were then serenaded by Hucknall’s very own singing councillor Phil Rostance who performed a number of Christmas classics while Santa and his helpers entertained with some festive dancing.

Hucknall Rotarian Terry Moult, who organised Santa’s visits, said: “Despite the strangeness of this festive season, The Rotary Club of Hucknall are proud to have been able to take some festive cheer to local nursing homes.”
